Ubisoft has announced that its subscription service Ubisoft + will welcome new ones indie games. The service is first of all designed for the French company’s first party games, which are offered at D1 and in their special and complete editions, but Ubisoft has also begun to include a number of indie games. Assassin’s Creed

Assassin's Creed Mirage

Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Let’s talk now Assassin’s Creed, which received a large dedicated space during the Ubisoft Forward show. The French company presented many games. Let’s go in order.

It starts with the already known Assassin’s Creed Mirage, with also the release period. The new game of the saga aims to bring us back to the action adventure genre, putting – at least for the moment – aside the GDR drift of the last chapters. In Mirage we will be Basim and we will be in Baghdad in the second half of the ninth century. You can see a new dedicated trailer here. In addition, the Collector’s Edition was also unveiled and it was confirmed that pre-orders are now available.

In addition, we also saw in the official analysis video of the Assassin’s Creed Mirage trailer, which analyzes every detail of the recently shown footage, talking about settings and characters. Then it was time for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla which will receive a new expansion known as The Last Chapter. During the Ubisoft Forward a dedicated video was shown and it was confirmed that it will be a free content that will tie some of the storylines of the game.

Then there was talk of a new mobile game: Assassin’s Creed Codename Jade. The particularity? It will be an open world game, a first for the series’ smartphone and tablet games. It will be set in China and will include all known gameplay features of the saga.

Also for mobile, there is a new Assassin’s Creed game, unnamed for now, in development together with Netflix. At the moment we have no other information about this project.

Assassins Creed Mirage Scr01

Then we talked about Assassin’s Creed Codename Red: this is the next chapter of the saga and will be set in Japan, one of the most requested settings by fans over the years. It will be an open world and RPG game.

However, it does not stop at this: Assassin’s Creed Codename Hexe has also been confirmed, in development under the guidance of Creative Director Clint Hocking. A first teaser was shown and it was defined as a very different game compared to the typical Assassin’s Creed: the style in fact refers to horror and witchcraft.

Don’t think you’ve seen it all though, because Ubisoft also talked about Assassin’s Creed Infinity, which was described by the company as a new “hub” for the future of the saga, which will also include independent multiplayer modes from single player games.

We also talked about some projects that go beyond the world of video games. It starts with Beyond The Creed, a documentary dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the saga, which will retrace the entire series.

The second project is the Netflix TV series dedicated to Assassin’s Creed. During the presentation of the Ubisoft Forward some details were revealed, such as the showrunner currently working on the TV series.
