There are several theories on the Smartphone and radiation sector, and there is no absolute certainty that they do harm. But we can choose the models that emit less.
The cell phoneHowever, is always close to us: in your pocket, in your hand, in your bag, and even on your bedside table at night. So better to prefer devices that are more “shielded”.
However, this is a fairly unfounded “fear”, according to experts. On the AIRC website, for example, the reasons why the cell-tumor link is not yet proven. Public attention to this area, however, is always very high.
The doubt resides right in the emissions produced by electronic devices. In the case of mobile phones we are talking about radio frequency waves (RFR). Said waves would be capable of “Warming” the tissues with which they are in contact. So let’s immediately imagine theearwhich then is very close to the brain. Hence the fears.
Surely since the birth of the first mobile phone to date, the manufacturers have improved a lot the quality of the devices, as well as the safety. However, some models appear to emit more radiation than others.
For clarity and help ai consumersthere are guidelines. That is an indication of maximum emission beyond which we can speak of “risk”. L’WHO declared the maximum value in 2 w / kg for 10 grams of fabric. In the States it is instead of 1.6.
This informationfor the layman, it could be difficult to understand. But the good news is today most manufacturers put emissions information on every phone. Then, if we want to do a search on the Internet, we can simply type “SAR xxx” with the telephone model of which we want to know the values of radiation emitted.
SAR stands for Specific absorption ratethat is the unit of measurement that represents the amount of electromagnetic energy absorbed by the body when using a mobile phone
But if we are afraid of not understanding tables and numbers and we simply want understand which models are considered safe, we can refer to some “official rankings”. They are disseminated by some realities, such as the website of the German Federal Office for Radiation Protection (Bundesamt für Strahlenschutz). For convenience, we report below some brands and mobiles that emit more radiation.
Smartphones and radiation, which are the most “dangerous” models, here is the ranking
Searching among the devices that emit more radiation we actually find several “old” cell phones. As mentioned, today the manufacturers have raised the quality and safety of the devices. In fact, among the “worst” we find these smartphones: Motorola Edge (1.68 w / kg); ZTE Axon 11 5G (1.59 w / kg); Asus ZenFone 6 (1.57 w / kg); OnePlus 6T (.55 w / kg); Sony Xperia XA2 Plus (1.41 w / kg); Xiaomi Mi A1 (1.75 w / kg); OnePlus 5T (1.68 w / kg); Huawei Mate 9 (1.64 w / kg); Xiaomi Mi Max 3 (1.58 w / kg).
The most “virtuous” models
As for the safer cell phoneswe can say that some big brands very popular (Samsung, Apple, Xiaomi And Huawei) offer good guarantees. The best according to the latest rankings turned out to be Zte Blade V10 (0.13 W / kg). Other models follow, which boast very few emissions: Galaxy Note 10+ (0.19 W / kg); Galaxy Note 10 (0.21 W / kg); LG G7 ThinQ (0.24 W / kg).
Other low emission phones are: Huawei P30 (0.33 W / kg); Apple iPhone 11 (0.95 W / kg); Realme GT Neo 3 (0.91 W / kg); Honor X8 (0.84 W / kg) e Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 (0.34 W / kg).
