12.17 Hello and welcome to the Live Live broadcast of the sixth stage of the Vuelta di Spagna.

Friends of OA Sport good morning and welcome to LIVE LIVE of the sixth stage of the Vuelta a Espana 2022! It starts from the success of Marc Soler and the symbol of the primacy taken by Rudy Molard yesterday at the finish line in Bilbao.

Today’s fraction promises a great show, proposing the first real uphill arrival of this edition. Three quite challenging GPMs will be scattered over the 182 km planned, starting from Puerto de Alisas, with its 8.7 km at 5.8% average gradient.

After 4 km at 7% of the Alto de Hijas, not even selected as a GPM, the riders will face the first GPM of the 1st category of these three weeks: the Collada de Brenes. 6.8 km at 8.2% average gradient, with peaks that will even reach 15%.

The predictable battle between the men in the ranking will explode definitively, however, on the last ascent of the day: the Ascension al Pico Jano, an ascent of 12.6 km clearly divided into two parts. The first 6 km will be the hardest, with gradients constantly around double digits, then a stretch of false floor, before the last and decisive 4 km, in which an 11% gradient will be reached.

After a day of relative calm yesterday, it is reasonable to expect today a fight between the “bigs” both for the stage victory and for testing themselves uphill and trying to trim the first important gaps. The most awaited man is certainly Primoz Roglic, whose condition will be tested by the many pretenders to his throne, such as Richard Carapaz, Simon Yates, Enric Mas and Remco Evenepoel.

Departure scheduled at 12.20 from Bilbao. We at OA Sport offer you the full LIVE LIVE of the stage, with minute-by-minute updates in real time, so you don’t miss a single emotion. Do not miss!
